My Philosophy

involves training our bodies to better perform the types of movements we use for everyday life. The time spent developing dynamic strength, flexibility and agility carries over into your daily activities, making life a little bit easier.

Whether you’re an athlete or just want to get into better shape, functional training is the most beneficial way to get there. Teaching the body to work as a “team” burns more calories, significantly improves balance and prepares the body for those unexpected events that life gives us.

My approach consists of keeping it simple, educating you on the importance of good technique, proper muscle usage, structuring a program that fits your schedule, and adherence to exercise for an active change in lifestyle.

 

 
 

About

My name is Jeff Brugger, and I am the owner of Exercise and You. Exercise and wellness has always been my passion and has led me to 27 years in the industry helping people change their lives for the better. I have a B.S. in Exercise Science and Psychology from the University of Wisconsin. I have spent the last 18 years focusing on post-rehabilitation, weight loss and healthy weight management. 

I believe that everyone has different goals that they would like to achieve from exercise, and those goals are the forefront of the mission. This is about you! What you are comfortable with and want to achieve is our number one priority!

Increasing your Metabolism 

One of the hidden benefits of exercise is an increased metabolism. Understanding that your metabolic rate is the largest calorie burner you have makes exercising more rewarding. We help you get a better understanding of how RMR (resting metabolic rate) and BMR (basil metabolic rate) are effected by your everyday lifestyle.
